FinnSoc is organising a joint autumn meeting and a film night on Thursday the 22nd of November at 8 pm.
Location is Hughes Hall, Pfeiffer Room. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&time=&date=&ttype=&q=cb...
The film we are going to show is a recent film by a Finnish film director Aku Louhimies called Riisuttu mies. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0441633/
The film has subtitles (and it's good).
Hope to see you on Thursday.
Matias
This Thursday (the 18th of October) FinnSoc presents a seminar at Pembroke College from 7 pm onwards. You'll have the opportunity to meet old and new members and to hear about the forthcoming events planned for this term. Finnish specialities such as Karelian pies, buns and salmiakki are also available. After the seminar we'll move onto a nearby pub. See you on Thursday!
Once more, instructions to get there:
Go through the main gate (next to a red mail box) and walk through the first court yard. Walk through the dining hall corridor and on the next court yard choose the middle path of the three. Go through the gate in to the garden and continue to walk straight ahead. There should be an old red-brick residence building on your left. Walk about 20 metres and you will see a glass door on you left. Enter the door and you should find your self in the entrance of Junior Parlour and a bar. Walk through another set of glass doors towards toilets. Before the toilets turn right and walk through another set of glass doors in to a staircase. Climb up the stairs in to the room N7.
Pekka Kuusisto & Co is playing some chamber music on West Road on Thursday the 4th of October at 7.30pm.
